In order to take your interest forward you will first need to complete the application form below. We'll then send a Goodlord referencing application for you to complete and return. Please note this is not classed as a formal application.
Once we receive your application, we will put this to the landlord(s) for them to decide if, based on the information you have provided, they will be taking your application further. We will notify you within 7 working days of the outcome. If the landlord agrees for you to move forward to a formal application, we will notify you and submit your basic information to Goodlord, who will be in contact with you for the next steps.
As part of the formal application you will need to pay 1 week’s worth of rent to secure the property, this is non-refundable and deducted from the balance due on move in. This 1 weeks deposit is divided between the amount of people applying the property however the payment can be made using the same card on the different Goodlord accounts.
You must complete the referencing information, it is important to remember that Goodlord do not accept Gmail, Hotmail or any other forms of private email addresses for a work reference. It must be a company email address given. It is important to complete all of the information required thoroughly as this is what they will use for you reference and any discrepancies may cause a delay.
We require references to be returned within 7 working days, so you should contact your landlord and employer to notify them that Goodlord will be in touch and to return this as soon as possible. Some employers will require your written consent to release a reference so it is important that you ask if there is a need for this to ensure there are no unnecessary delays. Should you fail to have references supplied within 7 working days the landlord may choose to re-market the property and you will lose the 1 weeks security deposit paid.
Once the referencing process has been passed your tenancy agreement will be emailed to you for you to electronically sign, it is important that you check all of the information thoroughly as this is a legal document.
The final move in payment must be made in cleared funds and paid at least 3 working days prior to your move in date to ensure funds have cleared. Goodlord will provide you with bank account details along with a reference for your final move in payment however this is not the account details for your future rent payments. The account details for your future rent payments will be provided to you as part of the contract.
